Garbage Disposal Repair

Description

A broken or clogged garbage disposal disrupts your kitchen and slows down cleanup. We fix, restore, and optimize disposal units—so your kitchen runs smoothly again.

What We Offer
  • Jams & Obstructions — If your disposal is humming but not grinding, blades may be jammed by hard scraps or foreign objects (utensils, pits, bones, etc.). We safely remove blockages and check the impeller for damage.

  • Motor & Electrical Failures — Humming, frequent overload trips, or a unit that refuses to start often point to motor or wiring issues. We diagnose and repair electrical faults or replace worn motors when needed.

  • Leaks & Seal Issues — Water under the sink, drips, or leaks from the garbage disposal chamber often mean degraded seals or loosened mounting. We reseal or replace components and ensure proper installation.

  • Slow Grinding or Poor Performance — If waste isn’t being ground properly, or clogs keep recurring, blade dullness, buildup, or internal wear could be the cause. We clean, sharpen, or refurbish parts for smoother operation.

Why Timely Repairs Matter ?

  • Prevent bigger problems. Left‐unchecked jams or leaks can cause pipe damage, rust, or motor burnout—leading to costly replacements.

  • Keep your kitchen hygienic. A functioning disposal helps prevent food waste buildup, odors, and drain blockages.

  • Extend unit lifespan. Proper repair and maintenance help your disposal last longer and perform better over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

This usually happens due to a tripped reset button, a blown fuse, or a jammed motor. Press the red reset button under the unit and check your circuit breaker.

Hard items like bones, fruit pits, silverware, or large food chunks can get stuck in the blades. Turning off the power and manually rotating the disposal with an Allen wrench often fixes the jam.

A humming sound means the motor is receiving power but the blades are stuck. This is usually caused by a blockage or jam inside the unit.

Small leaks from the sink flange or pipe connections can often be tightened or resealed. But leaks from the disposal body usually require replacing the entire unit.

If the unit is over 8–10 years old, frequently jams, leaks from the body, or the motor has failed, replacing it is more cost-effective than repairing it.
